Mike joined the property management team at Capital Associates in February of 1997 as a Regional Manager to help position the company for future growth. For 20 years, Mike was employed by a Cleveland based national mall developer, The Richard E. Jacobs Group. The last ten years with Jacobs was spent in the local Research Triangle Market.
Mike managed major regional shopping malls in Ohio, North Carolina and South Carolina. He was involved in a wide variety of development projects including major expansions, renovations, start-ups and turnaround situations. Mike joins Capital Associates after serving as General Manager of Cary Towne Center, a 1.1 million square foot mall in Cary, North Carolina. He was assigned to the project in 1986 which featured an 800,000 square foot expansion and renovation that was delivered on time and under budget. He earned his Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designation in 1987 and North Carolina Real Estate Salesman License in 1998.
Mike has been active in numerous civic and community organizations including Board of Directors positions with the Cary Chamber of Commerce, The Page Walker Art & History Center and Cary-Kildaire Rotary Club.
Mike is a native of North Carolina and received his BS Degree in Business Administration from East Carolina University. He is a licensed Real Estate broker in the State of North Carolina.
