Scott began his Property Management career with PennCorp Financial in 1992, where he was the corporate home office Facilities Manager. He managed the maintenance and construction activities of a 325,000 square foot portfolio in Raleigh. As a project manager for corporate acquisitions, he was responsible for the physical relocation of five insurance companies to Raleigh, totaling 500 employees. Scott was instrumental in administering the renovation of the 200,000 square foot Durham Life Building in Raleigh, and he directed PennCorp’s relocation to the building in 1996.
Scott’s first assignment with Capital Associates was as manager of the One Hannover Square building, a 365,000 RSF Class A building in Downtown Raleigh. After managing One Hannover building for 3 years and coordinating a multi-million renovation of this building and the disposition of that asset, Scott became the manager of Two Hannover Square, a 432,000rsf high rise with a 575 space parking deck.
In 2003, Scott moved to the corporate office in Cary from which he manages approximately 400,000 square feet of “Class A” office space, including Crescent Lakeside I, and the Rex Cary Medical Building.
Scott earned a BA in Economics from Duke University in 1986 and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of North Carolina. He served as an officer in the United States Navy and is a veteran of Desert Storm.
