Most people recognize Capital Associates for its class "A" multi-tenant office developments. Since its formation in 1983, Capital Associates has developed over 3.36 million square feet of office space, primarily in North Carolina. These projects include both general and medical office buildings, and were developed for both single users and multi-tenant occupancy. General office projects range from a 9,000 square foot, one-story suburban building to a 19-story, 280,000 square foot downtown high-rise. Medical office projects range from a 33,000 square foot garden office, to a 104,000 square foot, five-story mid-rise.
Our general office buildings include brick, precast, and even polished granite exteriors. Interior features have included imported marble, original art and sculpture, water features, grand piano, and distinctive ceilings. We have extensive experience with structured parking decks. Our projects create a strong identity and sense of place - environments that contribute to the success of any business. We have used over 30 different architectural firms to achieve the desired results.
Medical office buildings have their own special needs. Oversized elevators; extensive plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services; more signage, and wear-resistant finishes are required. Our medical users range from general family practices to specialized medical uses utilizing onsite diagnostic imaging and operating rooms. We select highly experienced architects, engineers, and contractors who have the appropriate medical experience. We have partnered with private medical practices and even a hospital to finance, develop, lease, and manage medical office buildings.
